色霉素A3（Chromomycin A3，缩写CMA3，CAS：7059-24-7），同义名Aburamycin b，由灰色链霉菌（Streptomyces griseus）代谢所得的一种蒽醌抗生素，具有抗菌、抗真菌和抗肿瘤活性。常用作一种荧光DNA染料，非常适合用来筛查精子染色质存在的原胺类缺乏（protamine deficiency）。在二价金属离子存在的条件下，色霉素A3（CMA3）通过与DNA特异性结合与可逆作用来阻断大分子合成。另外，通过结合到DNA小沟，色霉素A3有效调控与DNA促旋酶的竞争性抑制，从而显著影响拓扑异构酶II活性。

色霉素A3（Chromomycin A3，缩写CMA3）的应用：

1）荧光DNA染料；

简单描述：G-C特异性的DNA配体，抑制转录活性，用作一种DNA结合染料。Ex/Em（DNA-bound）为450/570。与Hoechst 33342联合使用，通过双激光流式检测对人染色体进行定量分类（双变量流式核型分析）。Hoechst 33342选择性结合DNA AT区域，几乎或不会对细胞质造成背景染色。常用于染色体分选（chromosome sorting），多变量分析（multivariate analysis）和染色体核型分析（karyotyping）。
